Scanned Items

Try Zoo History for dating your guides,some of the guides you have scanned are copyrighted so i hope you got the permission of the owners of the copyright before you posted them here!!!!!!!!
 
Surely if some of them are copyright, then they have year of publish on them? :confused:
 
I hope zoos have better things to think of than bothering with whether some people have scanned covers of their decades old guidebooks and put them online in a declared support of those very zoos. Because I would be in deep **** if the zoos were more worried about my website than about the fate of the Orangutan for instance. My site has guidebooks from 140 animal collections, hence I have more than a few of them law suits hanging over me if I do not stop the horrible act of scanning guidebook covers.
 
Well, dunno what collection that is, but if my website, or that of Jonas Livet, is the biggest problem they have, they know our email addresses. Dunno about Jonas, but I will then take my website down, I cannot afford a law suit in international court :)
 
I don't think that any zoo in its right mind would pursue the issue of someone scanning the cover of a guidebook or two.

However, someone listing themselves as a 'representative' of various zoos to which they apparently have little connection might interest their legal representatives. I notice that that description has now been switched. Thank goodness.

I agree wholeheartedly with the second point made here. Is it really necessary to promote yourself as some kind of representative or specialist?? This is a zoo enthusiasts website, and you will receive no kudos for trying to label yourself in this way (I suspect quite the opposite). Going to a few zoos a year (even if they are repeat visits) does not make you a specialist. I note in the Marwell thread that you took great offence when someone who clearly know more about the future development of Marwell (through actually discussing with staff at Marwell, Bill Hall no less!!) than you do, dared to post this information before you did. Please, i) remove silly titles and ii) read posts carefully and be a little more considered in replies!!
I am sorry if I have caused offence but needs to be said....and is meant in a 'friendly advice' spirit....:)
 
no its okay, its just dalek is getting on my nerves always referring to the masterplan as if every animal in the park is going to move because theyre not in the right biome!

im just saying that no-one knows exactly what is going to happen to the zoo over the next coming years!
