Does anyone know why the Scimitar-horned oryx are off show. Are the 3 young males still there or have they left for other collections.
 
They could just have been inside because of the weather as far as I know the zoo has no current plans for this species to leave the zoo,so I would be very surprised if they had left the collection.
 
i would imagin they will be kept on the back hard standing as the paddocks will be getting wet and will be no good for their feet
 
A week or two ago I had them pull their usual trick of all diving inside - in a calmly ordered procession - the moment I pulled my camera out, so it's quite usual for the oryx to be nowhere to be seen.

Your best bet is to approach from the east of their paddock late in the afternoon, that way they can't see you coming from a mile away... or it could be that they just don't like me. ;)
 
I think couple of the young male oryx have left as ISIS says they now hold 2:6 where as a month ago they held 4:6. Does anyone know where they have gone to?
 
When the menu comes up click on animals and then on the second menu click on find animals.
