Second breeding group of Coelacanths discovered

it has long been suspected that the mainland coelacanths are from a local population rather than wanderers from the Comoros, but it is good that they have now proved it through genetic testing. There's quite a bit of circumstantial and anecdotal evidence that there are coelacanths in various other parts of the world's oceans as well.
 
I remember hearing that cryptozoologist Loren Coleman believes that there is a population in the waters off Mexico (Yucatan peninsula?). But I didn't realize several other populations are hypothesized to exist as well?
