This morning seven tigers escaped from Cocodrilos Park on Gran Canaria. Over 100 Civil Guards assisted in the emergency. Three of the animals were shot and four recaptured.

I agree it was a very sad incident for all concerned. I admit to being a little amazed as to where they could get so many civil guards so quickly but this is what the reports said.

@ Peter I known how the anaesthetics works, but between the dead possibility of the animal and the sure death shooting I prefer the first option. getting the security measures for all the people involved off course.

Reports today say that only three of the seven tigers actually escaped. This was due to an employee oversight. The number of civil guards involved does not seem to have been reduced.
