Seychelles birds and where to find them

The Seychelles Kestrel is an amazing little bird that I have done some studies on. I caught some to get some blood samples for DNA studies. It is the smallest of all the true falcons Falco sp. I m enjoying your accounts of the wonderful birds from the Seychelles.

Glad to hear it! I did a little bit of study of island dwarfism for a school project and used the Seychelles kestrel as a prime example, so it was fun for me to see it as well!

Took a little break from the Seychelles birds before I created the last card with my own sightings. The last remaining birds weren't seen by me.

The Seychelles White-eye, Warbler, Fody and Magpie-robin are the last bird cards I'm making, unless anyone knows of any other birds that should be mentioned. After that, we're moving on to reptiles.

Yeah, it really sounds kinda mammalian. Like a fruit bat, but more high-pitched (look it up!).

You might notice I'm slowing down a bit. In the background I'm working on a lot of different projects to distract myself from my own mortality. Some zoo-related, some not. I do intend to finish this entirely... Eventually.
