Hello, ya'll, I just want to ask if the shoebill is on-show at the Mandai Bird Paradise or not? I remember that they used to have 2 at Jurong. However, I looked at some vlog and visit videos on youtube but I don't see the shoebill in any of them. I might be visiting Mandai Bird Paradise this June or July, and shoebills are amongst one of birds that I am the most hyped up to see, so it would really help me if someone can answer my question.

I only saw Zane the male Shoebill in Heart of Africa when i visited during the preview.

Guys, I'm pretty sure that the shoebills are off-display right now at bird paradise. I visited in late June, and walked through the Heart of Africa aviary a ton of times, and I'm sure that I have looked everywhere. However, I didn't see any shoebills, neither any information signs about them.

oh, ok. I guess I was still not careful enough. Sorry for the confusion.

I saw it on 9th July, but not on 22nd July. I met a gent that he told me he visited 6 times, didn't get chance to spot it. So you just need more luck, not carefulness:p

The Shoebill pretty much stays in the same area of the aviary - the side closer to the Forest Corridor walkway. If he can't be seen from within the aviary, perhaps try walking along the Forest Corridor, he seems to like people watching along the service road.

Oh, that's pretty interesting. I'll try this next time I visit:). Thanks for the reply.
