Silk Plants OK For Aviary?

I was wondering if it's ok to use silk plants in an outdoor or indoor aviary. I hate the annual chore of trimming leaves and was wondering if this was a good option to invest in instead of live plants. The primary species in the aviary would be waders along with a few passerines and pheasant/pigeon type birds. I found these websites that sell large silk plants including faux trees. Thanks for your help.

Yes silk plants are safe unless you have parrots which can chew them down the underlying wires.

If you have the option of live foliage however it is more attractive and probably provides the birds better cover, silk is usually used only if you cannot utilize real plants instead.
