If you're interested in historical records, see the book "Wild Animals In and Out of the Zoo" (William Mann; 1930).

This book (which is volume 6 of the Smithsonian Scientific Series) has an appendix listing all the animals born at the Smithsonian Zoo.

I have a copy of this book but I think, if you google it, the whole text is available to download on-line from the Biodiversity Heritage Library.

No the date 1930 is not an error; my copy of this book is the 1930 edition. Later editions were published subsequently, though.
