Very simple Snowdon aviary redesign it with animals and birds or if not put a case forward why not ?
 
You can't redesign it, it's a listed building.
You could change the planting, provided that there are no preservation orders on the trees, and of course you could put different species into it - but you could only make structural changes if you had permission, which might be possible, provided you didn't want to change the appearance of the building.

SORRY IT was late when i threw out the question - not to redesign the structure but to perhaps change the inhabitants or not. Could there perhaps be some more planting . Could some of the birds be exhibited elsewhere ? Would otters be suitable ? Perhaps a troop of marmosets or small monkeys ? or just leave it as it is ?
 
I have always felt this was one of the worn looking parts of the zoo, it really needs much more planting, more tall trees would really help.

With more planting and a heated indoor house it would make a perfect primate walkthrough, not lemurs or squirrel monkeys but something really unusual. I've always felt northern talaipon monkeys would make perfect walkthrough exibhits and would add another new species to the UK.
 
Talapion would be good but you would have to have a large troop plus others surely something ground dwelling
 
In my opinion the Snowdon Aviary is perfectly good as it is. The ibis are breeding and there is a nice range of species occupying different parts of the aviary with kites at the top all the way down to the peafowl, crane and ducks at the bottom.
Maybe some more unusual species could be substituted for some of the more common ones but I wouldn't redesign it.

The area surrounding the the Snowdon aviary however is a completely different story, and in my opinion, everything else on that side of the canal needs a drastic redesign.
 
I guess the first question would be: how large is the current Snowdon Aviary? In terms of area and height. Does anybody know?
