Softfoot Sanctuary have opened a wildlife park which is publicly accessible to visitors during the day. The new wildlife park cost $10 for adults and is free for children at present.

The park is accessed through the visitor centre where tours leave from. This also features a restaurant and an expanded gift shop.

This wildlife park is located in the 52 acre Woodland Sanctuary. This has been extended up to meet the visitor centre.

Free ranging within the sanctuary are kangaroos, padamelons and emu.

Inside there are two main exhibit areas. Carnivore cavern is a converted shipping container. Inside are three enclosures for a juvenile freshwater crocodile, bredli carpet python, heath goanna and lace monitor. Outside the monitors have an outdoor enclosure and their is an aviary for kookaburra.

The other main area is a boardwalk with exhibits for koala, bettongs and an aviary with cockatoos.

I visited the park when it was under construction and all the exhibits are to the high standard that Softfoot have maintained. I am hoping to visit soon to get some photos which I will upload.

It is just up the road from Urimbirra Wildlife Park, and is situated on.an alpaca farm, along with a farm stay unit and a restaurant. The nearest town is Victor Harbor, and it is a little over an hours drive from central Adelaide.
