Solar Roadways - Introduction

I been following these guys for a while now, but it just occurred to me how great this technology would be for zoos! Just think of how much surface area a zoo has in parking lots, walkways, etc. Replacing all of that with electricity-producing solar panels could really cut or completely erase the institution's electric bill, which would leave more money for other things, which is always a good thing!

It seems like a good idea for general life but you can see how it would be awesome for zoos too. Not only would it elimintate their electricity bills but the savings in countless other areas would be huge too. Just think of northern zoos snow removal costs, heating costs for tropical buildings and free advertising possiblities to name a few. Then there is the benefits of selling surplus electricity and maybe the selling of advertising for other companies or donors. Plus the safety benefits. No ice and snow = less slipping. They can send out warnings about escaped animals, fires, gas leaks, and any other safety concerns in a matter of seconds. All sounds good.

If it is not cost prohibitive and actually works as well as advertised hopefully we begin to see this technology in our everyday lives. Could be great.
