Species that would improve your local zoo

I'll bring this thread back. with some for Columbus.
  • Hippos / Pygmy Hippos
  • Baboons, Hamadryas most likely
  • Snow Leopards
  • A crocodile species like Niles or Salties (this is because i saw the one at Toledo and was fascinated)
  • Shot-Beaked Echidnas
  • Black & White Ruffed Lemurs (only IF they move the Lemurs to a nice netted and forested exhibit near the Congo)
  • Przewalski's Horse (unless that would cross over with The Wilds too much, but if not, then maybe a bachelor herd for The Wilds)
  • A normal bat species, perhaps Vampire Bats.
  • Southern Cassowaries (Their one of my favorite bird species after i saw them at Toledo)
  • Japanese Macaques
  • North American Porcupines
  • Wallabies, most likely Red-Necked
  • an African Aviary (if they can fit one into Heart of Africa, of course)
  • A shorebird aviary (again if they can fit one into Shores)
And very, very hopeful thinking: a South America attraction, with:
  • Jaguars
  • Giant Anteaters
  • Llamas
  • Baird's Tapirs
  • Geoffroy's Spider Monkeys
  • Greater Rheas
  • Andean Condors
  • Giant Otters
  • Andean Bears
  • Golden Lion Tamarins
  • an South America Aviary
  • and a lot others...

For Beauval Zoo, I hope to see one day :
  • Spix's Macaw
  • Kākā
  • Striped Hyaena
  • Sand Cat
  • Black Rhino
  • Roan Antelope
  • Wombat
  • Proboscis Monkey
  • Snub-nosed Monkey
  • Sifakas
  • Aye-aye
  • Pangolins
  • Dama Gazelle
  • Dorcas Gazelle
  • European Bison
  • Przewalski's Horse
  • Asiatic Wild Ass
  • Eurasian Lynx
  • Sun Bear
  • Spectacled Bear
  • Asiatic Black Bear

For me I feel like some more large mammal and birds would be welcome. Then again, reptiles and amphibians would also be nice. To be honest, Scovill is a very small zoo, it is the closest one to my house, as well.

I'd like to see many animals RETURN to my local zoo, which is Turtleback. For example, red foxes and groundhogs. I'd like several charismatic animals of course, such as rhinos, tigers, and chimpanzees, but there are also smaller species that I think could work. I'd love to see an insect house, as they're not too common in zoos and IMO, are one of the best exhibits a zoo can have, as they show the diversity of the smallest and oft ignored creatures on Earth. I also feel like we could use a strong bird collection, as right now, it's not the best. Birds such as cassowaries are a must, but I also feel that several themed aviaries across the zoo would do wonders, for example, an African savannah aviary in African Adventure, with birds such as guineafowl, lilac-breasted rollers, and hadada ibis.

TBH Omaha Zoo is a great zoo already, but is missing a few necessary zoo animals. Here’s my list of species I hope to see come to the zoo some day, but it’s not necessarily realistic or plausible.
Common Hippopotamus
Mountain Lion
Maned Wolf
Jaguar
African Wild Dog/Spotted Hyena
Red Kangaroo
Koala
Tasmanian Devil
Southern Cassowary
Warthog
Red River Hog
Blue Wildebeest
Gaur
Preswalski’s Horse
Tree Kangaroo
Wombat
Secretary Bird
Polar Bear
Grizzly Bear
Andean Bear
Llama
Bactrian Camel
More carnivorans as a whole
More antelope/other ungulate species
More birds, reptiles and amphibians
