Visited here today and saw 3 Spider Monkeys,2 where Columbian Black Spider Monkeys which is what they were labelled as but the other looked very much like a Geoffroys does any one know for sure?

I think they all are Colombuian Black Spider Monkeys, I went summer last year so things might of changed. Looked like mum,dad and child.
Might not be right though.
Regards

Was at the park with zoogiraffe and it definitely didn't look like a third Colombian.

I've posted an admittedly unexceptional photo of the mystery monkey HERE.

Sorry about that huge mistake they is differently the one that definatelty looks to be a different species.
Sorry again
Regards

In the 2005 BIAZA inventory Cricket listed 1.0 Ateles fusciceps robustus (Colombian Black) and 0.1 Ateles geoffroyi

@ Riziki - no worries - we've all been there!

@ robmv - A. geoffroyi certainly fits the bill. They've obviously acquired another Colombian in the meantime.

Geoffroy's was a hybrid originally from Cotswold WLP brought in as company for the Colombian male. She had a contraceptive implant to stop breeding.
