To continue with the theme I wanted to do Stone zoo being my home zoo and remember very well:
W. Lowland Gorilla- back exhibits of what's now Windows of the Wild. Amazingly two males were born there
Orangutan (unknown sub species)- back two exhibits on the right of what's now Windows of the Wild
Mandrill- one of the exhibits on the right of what's now Windows of the Wild
Debrazza monkey-one of the exhibits on the right of what's now Windows of the Wild
Siamang- first exhibit on the left of what's now Windows of the Wild
Pygmy hippo- where the colobus monkey are, I recall at least 3 or 4
Wallaby- replaced the pygmy hippo
Polar bear- current black bear, Major the polar bear single handily saved Stone zoo
Masai Giraffe- current carribean exhibit, the discovery building was the their indoor area
Bongo- held towards the back of former giraffe yard, barn can still be seen
Llama, Patagonia Cavy, Capybara- held after giraffe left in same yard, Capybara also held in current gibbon exhibit
Wildebeest, plains Zebra, Ostrich- Current Sierra Madre area
Bison, Sandhill Crane- held after African plains animals and before Sierra Madre was built
Penguins- looking at an old picture I believe they are Kings, held inside as part of the old elephant barn, current gift shop
Asian elephant- currently where they do the bird show and current gift shop
California Sealions- current yak enclosure
African Lions- one of two grottos in the area of Yukon Trail
Amur Tiger-one of two grottos in the area of Yukon Trail
White tailed deer- current Mexican wolf exhibit
Aviary- located at the top of hill by Markhor, held a variety of birds including flamingo, crown crane, spoonbill, ibis, macaw and snowy owl
Coyote- current peccary exhibit
Ornate hawk eagle- current coati exhibit on the left
Spectacles owl- next to current coati exhibit on the right
North American Porcupine- currently held but were mixed with otters at one point
