Studies of Hazardous Box Turtle Road Crossings

I was going to post that yesterday and forgot. People make me angry sometimes.
 
It is a shame that this happens. I heard that this also happens to the endangered Desert Tortoise here in the Mojave Desert. There are signs everywhere telling people to slow down because of tortoise crossings, but people still manage to go out of their way to kill the tortoises.
 
That story makes me proud to live in a town where people stop when they see a turtle (even a snapping turtle) and either wait for it to move or help it across.
