In earlier days the Swamp monkey was a relative common-sight in zoos but now-a-days very few are kept. A quick look at Zootierliste learns that only 4 ! European collections still have them.
I would be intrested to learn how the situation in the USA is, geomorph uploaded recently a nice picture of one at San Diego ( howmany are kept there ? ) but which other US-zoos have them and howmany ?

The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo and the Toledo Zoo both exhibit them.Toledo has 1.1 and I can look up Cleveland's numbers when I visit today.

-Dallas zoo holds the species, although I'm unsure of how many are on-site. They are mixed with Mona monkey.

-St. Louis zoo holds the species

-San Diego zoo holds the species

Brookfield Zoo received 3 females and 2 males from the Sand Diego zoo in October 2013. Including one male and one female born in the wild.

Do some people have access to the website that was shut down for update that tells u what's zoos have what species and how many?

Houston zoo has a pair of swamp monkeys and lincoln park zoo in chicago has at least one.

That's ten or eleven Zoos, compared to just around 4 in Europe now. I believe some or all of the European ones will join the US population to try to get better results with them.

If they are send to America, this would be a pitty for us Europeans but for the shake of the species I guess this would be the best.
