Taman Satwa Cikembulan

On December 7, an Javan leopard named Purbaya has been released into the Kamojang Valley on the border between the regencies of Bandung and Garut, after a while of rehabilitation in Cikembulan for 14 days.

Previously, Purbaya was found trapped on a snare in Garut on November 22 and later rescued by teams from BKSDA and Taman Satwa Cikembulan. Purbaya was taken to Cikembulan, where it undergo a medical examination prior to release.
 
Four Javan slow lorises, entrusted by BKSDA to Taman Satwa Cikembulan, has been released to the Kamojang Valley in Garut after five months of rehabilitation. These slow lorises included two males, three years old Wirya and two years old Mikail, and two females, three years old Katty and four years old Rayla.

These primates, once kept as pets, were handovered by their former owner and later entrusted to Taman Satwa Cikembulan to be taken care off.
