Great little blog - very interesting. I was told more than ten years ago - by a taxonomist at UNSW - that nobody was teaching taxonomy anymore and that taxonomists were becoming an endangered species. Recently I looked for universities in Australia that teach taxonomy as a course, and I found only one. Anf they only taught one subject - no Advanced Taxonomy, Applied Taxonomy, Molecular Taxonomy etc. - just a basic introduction.
