Are there any unusual/interesting temporary or seasonal exhibits you've been to or heard about? If so, please list the name of the exhibit (if possible) and the animals in it. Your thoughts are much appreciated. :)

The most common temp exhibit that I've come across has been the stingray petting exhibit. There's usually other things for the kiddos to touch.

The Monterey Aquarium has a superb temporary exhibit on the natural history and conservation of sea horses. It has several sea horse species in it. Check out their website. They also have a temporary sea jelly exhibit which explores jelly biology through the lens of 1960s grooviness.

I enjoyed when the Seneca Park Zoo temporarily put their snow leopards in the old cougar exhibit. It had a more interactive feel to it since there was a tunnel leading to a pop up bubble in their exhibit. However, this was with the original pair who were very energetic and interactive. It may be a whole new things with the new snow leopards in the exhibit. Their current and original exhibit is a long cage on the side of the main building. Some natural furniture is added for the enrichment of the animals, but you will never consider it an immersion exhibit.

Lisbon Oceanarium has since April 2011 a temporary exhibit for rehabilitated sea turtles.
It will only last two years, so in some months something new will show up.

Beardsley had an Aldabra Giant Tortoise and a Galapagos Giant Tortoise on exhibit over the summer for their 90th birthday celebration. The zoo has showed interest in getting perminent Galapagos Giant Tortoises. They also had a Rainforest Reptiles display up. Rainforest Reptiles is a group that is home to many species of exotic reptiles and amphibians some of which are rescued pets.

I believe the Staten Island Zoo has some new temporary exhibit every year.

ThylacineAlive- I haven't heard anything about the permanent tortoises in a while, so I wouldn't go around posting saying that they are really interested in getting them. Rainforest Reptiles is an orginization that specializes in herps. Their stay at the zoo in August included a trailer with herps that unfortunately had many mediocre exhibits, and a show. Beardsley typically has a temporary summer show each year, though I'm not sure if this counts as a temp exhibit.
Maritime Aquarium relies a lot on temporary exhibits. For a while, they temporarily had African Penguins, and for the first time in a while, they had White Alligator on display in 2012. Their Meerkat exhibit right now is temporary, but might end sometime soon. It is unsure when it will end as they are immensely popular.
Mystic Aquarium has a seasonal Birds of the Outback aviary with Cockatiels, Budgerigars, and Eastern Rosellas.
Busch Gardens Tampa replace their Asian Small-Clawed Otters for a little bit with penguins, as part of their Christmas Town celebration.
Isn't the Arctic/Antarctic exhibit at Aquarium of the Pacific temporary?

I never said they were really interested I just said they showed an interest in the idea. That the zoo has said themselves.

They mentioned it in one PDF. And that PDF can no longer be found on the Internet. That PDF was never even released on their website, Facebook, or other site, but I found it by Google search.

I can't really enjoy or gain knowledge from anything you post based on your assumptions, hearsay and lack of research into something. quite sad, really.

I got my information from the PDF BeardsleyZooFan mentioned. It was dated from before I joined ZooChat and Beardsley's website isn't very good so I had no way of finding it again. I never even sai they were getting them I simply said they were considering it! And what does that have to do with the topic of this thread? I said that in passing while the real purpose of the post was to say that it exhibit was a temporary one they had over the summer. You weren't meant to learn anything new about upcoming Beardsley Zoo exhibits, you were suppose to learn about temporary exhibits they had. So how did me saying they had a temporary exhibit for giant tortoises over the summer not teach you that they had temporary giant tortoises over the summer?

So however small they had showed an interest! Even if the PDF was obliterated and never seen again it doesn't make it untrue!

How about any interactive exhibits where you can come in contact with animals?
ex: stingray touch tank, lorikeet feedings, petting zoos.

Lagos Zoo in Portugal had until very recently an exhibit for a pair of Reindeer that could be touched when supervised by a staff member.
