I would like to take this chance to thank everyone on this site for thier help over the past year
With thier quick replies to sometimes stupid questions on what animal is it to more serious questions
I have been able to improve my knowledge of the animal world through the help of all the members on here and been greatly impressed with the way the site has been run.
I know that some times my comments have been alittle tongue in cheek but again many thanks to everyone this year

Oh by the way

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE

ADRIAN

Christmas lights were up in Chester yesterday, and Fenton has a Christmas tree in the town square.

It's nice to see that Adrian1963 has learnt such a lot.

Very much appreciated :). And I'm gonna thank everybody as well, this is a great site and, as has been mentioned, we learn so much from each other.

Well that's the 1st Merry Christmas on the site!

October is a bit early, don't you think? One of my pet peeves is when people put up Christmas stuff too early. Usually it is the malls and department stores, which is obviously just a marketing ploy to sell more stuff. Just completely ruins Christmas, IMO.

It used to be in America that our Thanksgiving holiday (end of November) provided a buffer zone, and nobody would put up Christmas stuff until after Thanksgiving. But that has gone out the window and I am already seeing Christmas stuff in our local department stores - and it is not even Halloween yet!

At least the zoos that do Christmas light festivals still wait until December. Of course many (an increasing number I think) also do Halloween festivals. Ours was last weekend and it was our biggest attendance ever (roughly double the previous record).

Although it can take something out of it, I think shops are right to put their Christmas stuff out early. My brother for one spreads Christmas shopping out by buying one or two things a week over a long period. Imagine how expensive it would be to have to wait until December before you could buy all your decorations, presents, food+drink etc, and then have to do it all in one go?

My two cents anyway :D

In Blackpool thiers a shop that sells Christmas decorations all year round
Any way just to say 58 days to Christmas
happy one everybody

It's almost my birthday too - just thought I'd throw it in the mix since we're in the good wishes mood - feel free to wrap you good wishes for me - I do like a mystery pressie :O)
