My impression was that many members of zoochat, but maybe the general public and even professionals seemed to equate immersion to biodomes entire geo complexes, but I found that this is just one of several forms that allow better acces to the world of the animals and plants. Especialy barrierless presentation that either meant literaly free roaming animals or moats or close to invisible threads, but all of these have one thing in common they dont allow to get close up with some species. Animals can tell if theres a protective barrier between the visitors and them. Further would I not want to be able to hand my head into the sphere of an ant colony or a spider web, so it goes both ways.

Found that many older lay outs often felt rather as if I was walking on a literal street and the animals enclosure almost felt rather like those fields farmers have for their lifestock.

Like I mentioned in the frankfurt thread, do I very much like biodomes and seemingly barrierless but not as sole replacement of the traditional displays.

I never thought I could ever get to a place where I would say I am sad that the classic taxonomic exhibitions disappear, because that felt so far from even possible that I did not even bothered to think what if...
