Very sad but also interesting. I've always thought that more effort should be put into saving endangered parasitic species. I think the loss of species such as Colpocephalum californici, Aptericola pilgrimi, Rallicola guami, and Linognathus petasmatus and the undescribed Black-Footed Ferret parasite are just as sad as if we would have lost their host species. As for those species that are still alive (such as Felicola isidoroi), I hope they can be saved from the same fate.
