After much anticipation, open days prove very popular amongst zoo nerds, allowing zoo nerds to see various species found nowhere else in the UK, and others absent from Europe altogether.
Marwell
The Valley has been turned into an extensive field of grazing herbivores, with an extensive lion enclosure built just perched behind it. At times, it can look as if the two are not bordered at all. Water and Wetlands proves an interesting enclosure, with better housing for the hippos and tapirs.
ZSL
Biota! opens as ZSL's third park and first major aquarium - and proves popularity in much a similar manner as do the various Sea Life aquariums across the country.

These are new exhibits that opened? Sorry, I'm confused by the title (maybe sounding like a ***** right now).

Exhibits/places that were once touted at one point or another, but never came to fruition.

That isn't remotely clear at all. There are various reasons exhibits don't open.... for the first in your post, it was "zoo nerds" that kept it from opening.
