Animals at the facility include generic tiger, African lion, jaguar, cheetah, ocelot, Asiatic black bear, grizzly bear, and ring-tailed lemur, among other species.

When I went on a big Texas zoo trip in the summer of 2015, I visited 14 animal collections just in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. However, I did not visit the International Exotic Animal Sanctuary, now known as The Wild Animal Sanctuary.

Looking at their website, I had to chuckle at the headline of "5,500 Tigers in Texas alone!" as that number is greatly inflated. I've been to 45 zoos in the state and there are some places that have a lot of Tigers, but I find it difficult to believe that there's thousands of Tigers in backyards and private residences. It's an inflammatory total.

As for visiting, if one donates more than $200 in the previous year, then it's possible to pre-book a guided tour of the facility. An "Active Supporter" can bring 3 guests and visit up to 5 times each year, which would average out to $40 U.S. per tour.
