The world only white siamang

A zoo located in Jakarta, Faunaland, kept a white siamang named Otong, currently the world only white siamang in the world. It's used to be white, but now the fur turned gold or yellow. Otong housed together with a female normal siamang, Faunaland planned to breed the two siamang.

Very interesting. Clearly it has some kind of pigment mutation but apparently it isn't typical albinism since the fur has darkened somewhat. In some mammals, like Siamese cats, one of the genes affecting fur color can be deactivated depending on temperature. Perhaps some sort of environmental factor is affecting the fur color in this siamang as well.

I know it is an albino siamang (and I'm not suggesting that it is anything other than this) but the colouration of the pelage really reminds me of many of the Hylobates and Nomascus species.
