The Zoochat Photographic Guide to Meliphagoidea (honeyeaters and allies)

And that is the completion of the Zoochat Photographic Guide to Meliphagoidea. The full list of species included in the thread is in post #2 in which the species represented by photographs can be seen. However, in short, the numbers of species depicted are as follows:

Family Meliphagidae (honeyeaters): 80 out of 186 species
Family Pardalotidae (pardalotes): 3 out of 4 species
Family Dasyornithidae (bristlebirds): 1 out of 3 species
Family Acanthizidae (scrubwrens, thornbills, and gerygones): 33 out of 67 species
Family Maluridae (fairy-wrens, emu-wrens, and grasswrens): 14 out of 22 species

There are 131 species from 51 genera represented in the Zoochat galleries, depicted in this thread by 271 photos taken by 22 members. The majority of those members have only one photo used - in fact, only nine members have more than one photo used. This is mostly because honeyeaters are largely restricted to the Australasian region and most are not kept in captivity. Therefore the bulk of the photos are of wild birds, with only 31 photos of 25 species being taken in captivity (and only 12 species are depicted solely by photos of captive birds). Probably of no surprise to anyone familiar with the Australian Wildlife gallery, over half of all the photos are by @Hix (145 out of 269 photos).
