And with that, this thread is now complete - barring updates where unrepresented families can have photographs added into the thread, as may occur from time to time.

For instance, along with tonight's posts I have updated the previous post pertaining to the anomalures, to reflect the fact that photos of a species belonging to this family - unrepresented in the Zoochat gallery when i initially posted about them - have subsequently been uploaded by @Giant Eland .

CTENOMYIDAE

Unfortunately, despite how speciose the Tuco-tucos are, this comprises yet another family which cannot be illustrated for the purposes of this thread due to the complete lack of any photographs representing members of the family within the Zoochat gallery.
.

Now you have two species to choose from

CHRYSOCHLORIDAE

Much as is the case with the preceding family, this is another group which very few - if any - of our membership have seen alive and which, as a result, would be entirely unrepresented for the purposes of this thread were it not for a handful of low-quality and ageing museum specimens which have been photographed by our members from time to time. As such, the following is an image of Cape Golden Mole (Chrysochloris asiatica) taken at the Iziko South African Museum by @Kudu21 :

Now at least one representative of Zoochat’s membership has seen this family alive

Scrolling through this thread (one of my favorites by the way) I've noticed there are at least 9 famillies which now have photos on zoochat after previously not:

Golden Mole
Cane Rat
Tuco Tuco
Chinchilla Rat
Mouse Tailed Bat
Thumbless Bat
Sucker-footed Bat
Funnel-eared Bat
La Plata Dolphin
