Does anyone know if the single thorny devil (or sometimes called moloch) is still displayed at SWW (now called Wildlife Sydney)? And if it is not there, did it die/leave before or after the new management and design changes? Thanks.

how long ago was it there? It wasn't there when I visited last year.

I've never seen one there, I'd be surprised if they had one as they will only eat certain ants.

They certainly did have one a few years back (a male IIRC) that took a while to go on display and even then only went on display briefly, so that is why I am along if it is still there, even if it is off display.

Ummm.... what is IIRC?

The thorny devil(s?) that were on display and heavily used in their advertising upon opening, passed away dude to not being able to cool the enclosures to low enough temperatures at night time. I guess funding was used on the dugongs at the time. They had no problem whatsoever with food supply, and would regularly collect from different areas in Sydney.
