Several weeks ago Tierpark Riesa recieved a very rare new species : the Sakishima grass lizard - Takydromus dorsalis.

Recently 4 Southern Caucasian pheasants (Phasianus colchicus colchicus) hatched, a zoo first breeding for Tierpark Riesa.

At the end of August over 230 fish arrived from Zoo Leipzig, they can be seen in the (new/renovated) aquarium in Tierpark Riesa.

Recently 18-year old Snowy Owl (Bubo scandiacus) Igor arrived from Tierpark Dessau. He will accompany the 4 year old female Elsa.
