The addition of a walk-through greenhouse and a small concession stand is a great idea, but I was expecting to read about the interior of the 1930s-era Reptile House undergoing a renovation as well. I remember some of those terrariums being a bit on the small side during my last visit to the zoo in 2018.
Also, has anyone heard anything about possible species for the greenhouse? The image on the link shows flamingos and tortoises.
I just added every tetrapod I saw on my October visit to Toledo Zoo onto Zootierliste (here: ZootierlisteHomepage). I have no doubt there are species I missed, and I didn't keep track of fishes, so this isn't a complete list, but I figured I'd link it here in case people are interested.
The page comes up trumps. No visible news piece.

On February 9th, it was announced that the zoo acquired (1.1) Amur leopards from the Niabi Zoo in Illinois.

This is a new species for the zoo, right? I wonder where they are going and/or if they are replacing a species.
Tiger Terrace maybe?
They received a breeding pair of Amur leopards, female Bella and male Giuseppe, when the Exotic Feline Breeding Compound in California closed in February 2023.

That'd be right. They are able to keep a surprising number of animals off-exhibit in the Tiger Terrace area.

Renee's calf is a boy! There is a naming contest out for the little one, options are Leap, Link, Loki, Leif and Leo! The winning name will be announced on March 15th, with the calf's public debut following the day after.
The Toledo Zoo on Instagram: "Have you herd the news?! African elephant, Renee, welcomed a baby boy to the Tembo Trail exhibit on Feb. 17.

With knowing that they have 4 leopards could they move into the tiger habitat once they build a new habitat for carnivores at the entrance?
