the first ever captive bred Weimang joey at the TCA base in Lumi, PNG.

(weimang is the local name for the golden-mantled tree kangaroo, the baby was born at Lumi in March 2010)
 
Yes, it is certainly interesting that a first has been achieved.

I do like to know if they now have any idea/concept of the total wild population in the Tenkille area.
