This midsized Park Houses mostly Animals from the Temperate Regions of the World. We arrived arround 12:30 and Walked towards the entrance. The First Enclosure is a simple Enclosure for some Domestics. This Enclosure is located Outside of the Zoo entrance.
When you are in the Zoo itself you Take a Walk through the Walkthrough Deer Habitat which Houses Fallow and Dybowsky Deer aswell as an Aviary for White Storks.
The Enclosure is a nice Walkthrough and the Deer have more than enough space to Retreat from the Visitors. Some Visitors ignored the sinage and left the paths to pet the Deer. After the Deer Herds you can visit the Falconry Center which Houses a good collection of zoological raritys. Species such as Turkey Vulture, Andean Caracara or Aguja are additions for my Lifetick List. An African Fish Eagle with its call was also very impressive. After the bird of Prey collection we passed by an Lush and Green Habitat for three Turtle Species. Next was the asian Walkthrough which Houses Chinese Muntjak and has Housed several Species of Cranes. We did See a cute Muntjak Calf and its mother.
After the Muntjak Walkthrough we did Go in to the Mouflon Walkthrough which also includes a Enclosure for Heck horses and Yaks, including a Calf and a very impressive Bull. Now you can Take either the left and Walk past the foxes Back to the Mouflon Walkthrough or to the right past a huge Natural looking Bald Eagle Aviary. Now we did See the Carnivores of the Zoo beginning with a Trio of Brown Bears in a Well landscaped Enclosure. The Next Habitat was Home to one elderly Arctic Wolf which was once kept together with their bears until the 2013 incident. After the big Carnivores we encountered some sleepy racoons and the empty Lynx Enclosure, the Lynx are getting a new Habitat near the foxes which we unfortunatly missed Out on this Visit. Next are some Owl Aviarys aswell as black Storks and Harris Hawks. Nearby are some nice enclosures for Wildcats and River otters. The Next and Last enclosures of the Park are a small Enclosure for wild boars and the Deer Valley which was Home to Red Deer and Heck Cattles. The Deer and Cattle has had calves and it is Always impressive to see Male Deer and Cattle.
I did enjoy this Zoo as it Shows Animals of the Temperate Regions in nice Natural enclosures. The Signage was very informative and the Animals did Not Show any stereotypical behaviour. The only negative Thing on this Zoo was, There were No Keepers inside the walkthroughs and the Visitors ignored the stay on the paths signs.
Overall this is a nice collection of Nordic and Temperate Animals and i did enjoy my visit and can recommend this Zoo If you are in the area.
