U.S. Mexican Wolf Population Over 100

I must confess that I have not been following the developments of the Mexican wolf plan for the last few years, even though it is occurring in my state. (I had more interest when it was first initiated). I am glad to hear they have reached a small milestone, as I know this reintroduction has not been nearly as smooth as the Yellowstone wolf reintroduction.

Always great to hear a re-introduction is succesfull - both for the species and the people involved !

There may be some setbacks. Today I was at Arizona Sonora Desert Museum. Their Mexican wolf exhibit has a signboard where they post the latest report from Fish and Wildlife on the wild population. I only glanced briefly at it (it was dated March 2016 I think), but I swear it said the wild population is currently at 50.
