It is well known that the current U.S. presidential administration is not the most environmentally friendly administration we have had. It was recently reported that the president's appointed Interior Secretary would slash some of the new monuments created by our last president. Thankfully, Secretary Zinke is stating this will not happen. However, he is leaving open the possibility for a couple of them to be reduced in size and also to allow grazing and other uses. So it is a compromise, but not the elimination we had feared. (Please note the lead photo for the article was posted erroneously and is from another current issue).
