Sorry folks forgot the reptile news Chester are getting Phillipine Crocodiles should be in the zoo off-show before the end of the year, the lone male Crocodile Monitor in the tropical realm is the young male from Chessington, its come to Chester because its mate died their and Chester are going to swap the Males around, just to finish off on the Crocs London will be getting a group of Phillipines along with Chester but Paignton IS NOT getting them inspite of what they have said in their press re-lease for their new Croc house!!!

You are quite right (and I thought let's open a thread on reptiles).

The Philippine crocodiles will be coming from a Philippino breeding farm. The Krokodille Zoo, Eskilstrup, Denmark will import 15 at the end of this year. Perhaps the crocs will then be redistributed between the other receiving zoos (London, Chester (?), Koeln, Germany) or more will leave the Philippines to initiate an ex situ captive-breeding programme.

How did you get to know Paignton Zoo are now not getting Philippine crocodiles? Why, where they turned down (they have previous experience of Cuban crocodiles - which I think they are keeping on to breed)?

Didn't Paignton say they would get either Philippine Crocodiles or Nile Crocodiles?

Because their is only one group coming in to the U.K and they are being quaratined at Chester and the only place they are sending them to is London.
