Well it would if people didn't keep editing it by using a collections website as a reference,with out having visited the place to see for themselves if they still have a species!

Unfortunately I did that this year and have found it to be well out of date with Bird species.
So any help would be gratefully received
Information on any collection no matter how large or how small thank you
Durrell have an adult male Echo Parakeet Psittacula eques, the only captive bird on show anywhere in the world.
Living Coasts, Torquay
Macaroni Penguin - the only specimens in the UK (species is held by 2 other European collections & 6 North American collections).
Bank Cormorant - the only specimens in captivity, other than perhaps in South African rescue centres.
Tufted Puffin - the only specimens in Europe (also held in Japanese and North American collections).
Red-legged Kittiwake - the only specimens in Europe (I believe the only other collection holding this species worldwide is in Alaska).

I'm sure there's quite a few more, particularly among smaller species.
For example, Paignton has a single specimen of Orange-spotted Bulbul (Pycnonotus bimaculatus), which is the only one in a UK zoo (and the species is only held by 1 other European zoo - though probably some are held by private aviculturists).
We shouldn't overlook Slimbridge and its Andean Flamingos, and last remaining James's/Puna Flamingo: Berlin Zoo is the only other holder.
Paradise Park (Hayle)
St Vincent Parrot (Amazona guildingii) - 1.0 specimen. (There are others in Europe, but in private hands).
Also, I believe the Mountain Parakeet (Psilopsiagon aurifrons) is only exhibited at Hayle (in the UK) - though again there'll be others held by private aviculturists.

Luzon Lowland Scops Owl, too.
Chester is also the only UK zoo - and one of the very few in Europe - to hold the Red-&-blue Lory (Eos histrio). Trouble is, I think they're off-show [maybe someone can confirm?].
Wingham is the only UK collection with Black-winged Lory (Eos cyanogenia); a species that's become very rare in aviculture. I think they only have a single specimen.
Paradise Park (Hayle) is the only UK holder of another rare lory: the Rajah Lory (Chalcopsitta atra insignis), a very distinctive subspecies of the Black Lory held only at Hayle and Loro Parque (though as with many psittacines, you'll find more in private hands than in zoos).

They also have Western Crowned Pigeons (Goura cristata) which according to zootierliste means they are the only UK holder of the species (though within the rest of Europe it is fairly common). Both the Lory and the Crowned Pigeon are free-flying in the tropical hall.
