United States Satellite Map Not Working

Something appears to be wrong with the US satellite map; it is not showing up for me, despite other countries working just fine. I've tried it on multiple browsers and devices, and other people have confirmed it isn't working for them either.

Its been an issue for a bit of time now. Not sure why it only effects the main US map. I found the satellite map extremely useful in finding smaller zoological facilities that don't regularly show up on google. Really hope this issue can be fixed soon.

It has been semi-broken for a long time now - Google changed their API and I haven't had a chance to rebuild the maps section to make it work.

I think the US maps have completely broken now because there are simply too many zoos to place on the map based on the current system.

I don't have time to fix it now, but I will fix it as part of the site upgrade.

If you'd like help with making a new map, please let me know. I spend way too much time on google maps and have my own personal maps of US zoos (split across 4 maps for 4 regions), different areas, etc.

The map data is all there - I just need to reprogram the pages to put the pins on the map.

Sorry to bump this thread up, but it appears that none of the maps will load properly anymore. Instead, a message comes up saying "This page can't load Google Maps correctly" on top of a grey screen. Is anyone else having this problem?

For every country? I know the US one hasn't worked for a while, but it appears the issue has spread to all of the maps. A shame, as it was a great resource.

That I'm not sure of, I only ever looked at USA and Canada
