For any Northeast Ohio ZooChatters out there...
Cleveland Metroparks Zoo Executive Director, Dr. Christopher Kuhar, will be replicating his 2013 Steffee Address lecture, "Through the Looking Glass - The Past, Present and Future of the Cleveland Zoo" - a discussion of the dramatic transformation in zoos over the past 40-years, as well as his vision for our Zoo's future in the areas of scientific management of animal collections, field conservation, education and sustainability. The event will take place at the North Royalton Branch Library on Tuesday, February 11 at 7 pm. The event is free, but registration is required.
I heard the original lecture in June and it was very engaging; the emphasis was less historical and more "where we are going" - I'd be curious how much that may have changed with his additional time as Director! Maybe I'll see some of you there?!
