Closed Uploading from a Mac

I got my MacBook a few days ago, but I've found one thing it isn't quick at doing; uploading photos to this site. I managed to get a handful up, but it was through a lot of refreshing between the standard and flash uploaders that somehow got them in my que; using the standard uploader now seems to last years. Any advice from other mac users? Do they need to be a different size, different uploader source that isn't iPhoto?

Help would be appreciated.

I just use the standard uploader with no problem but I tend to only put on a few selected photos. I always crop and resize them in Photoshop, not that I'm a total control freak but I like managing things myself.
