This is a small private aquarium that exists in historical town center of Česká Lípa (90 km noth of Prague) for 3 decades.
It has area of 550 m2 and shows 70 water tanks with fresh water fish (ca 80-90 species) and some invertebrates like shimp. Most interesting are probably some of rarer South American cichlids that you wont see in average pet shop. ZTL is not up to date. Tanks look like your normal home fish tanks, but he doesnt really like domesticated color morphs so you will see mostly wild forms. The owner is long-time aquarist and gives informative quided tours (ca 1 hour) on Saturday mornings - it needs to be arranged beforehand by phone.
This place is pet project of the owner, was never financially viable but increasing energy and rent prices make it harder to keep open. Fundrising organised earlier this year had rather poor results so it´s not guaranteed it will survive next 1-2 years.
