Visited Blackpool for the first time today and on the whole really enjoyed the visit. Highlights of the visit were the pride of African Lions having the clear views provided by the glass viewing windows was really good. Wallace is a really impressive sight up close as well as the cubs. Though the indoor enclosure could do with being updated as they reminded me of a zoo from a long time ago. Caught a glimpse of Zambar the Amur Tiger as well. One of the keepers mentioned that the female Gorilla who is pregnant should give birth any day now possibly even tonight. Think the Gorilla & Orang-utan enclosures could both be renovated especially the Orangs indoor ones as it seemed really cramped and had very little to stimulate the animals. Also was too keen on the Elephant enclosure both indoor an out think it looked very dated and the outdoor yard looked very bare and sparse. The new sea lion pool looks very impressive three of the sea lions were on show in there today. If there is anything you would like to ask please let me know.
