Volunteer week (cw31) at land trust Josefovské Louky - with free accomodation

Josefovské louky is a riparian area managed as a land trust - land was purchased by donations by bird lovers, and is not used for agriculture anymore. It´s at town Josefov - 30 min from Dvur Kralove by public transport, or 1 hour from Prague by car. They have also exmoor ponies and other animals for grazing.

They organise work camp in calendar week 31 where volunteers can participate in. It´s usually local young people and families that come, might be open to foreigners.

Free accommodation at the bird park management center!

Join too! When and how you arrive at the camp, and when you leave it, is entirely up to you.

Take advantage of the facilities in the unique baroque Josefov Fortress at Okružní street 36 (50.3370N, 15.9294E). 1.5 km from the entrance to the bird park at Podklasní mlýn and 2.3 km from the main entrance at Staré Pleso. Restaurants and shops nearby. A warm shower. Three dormitories, one common room. Kitchen, bathroom with shower box, hot water. Separate toilets for men and women. Sleeping in your own sleeping bags!

As every year, the camp will be educational and work. Maintenance work will not miss us. We will again be able to fully enjoy mowing, drying and hauling grass, repairing paths and roads, painting and other lighter jobs. Farewell event in a restaurant in Josefov!
