Walk thru aviaries

Is anyone aware of a walk through aviary anywhere that features budgies which feed on millet spray held by visitors?

I'm not sure whether I've heard this somewhere, or dreamt the whole concept!!!

sorry to dampen the mood but really shouldnt they just have green budgies in their?

You're not dreaming...

Far from it. In fact, you just gave an excellent description of Woodland Park (Seattle) Zoo's "Willawong Station" exhibit. Besides budgies of all colors, they also have several roselles and a blort-load of cockatiels.

I got a brief look at it last Sunday while waiting for the raptor show to start. Not bad, but tiny! It's more a walk-through room with birds than an aviary as I would define it (I use the San Diego Zoo's aviary as a model for the west coast, and Discovery Cove Orlando as the model for the east).

Happy travels.
