Does anyone know what species of waders are represented in Walsrode,
in what numbers and are they bred succesfully?
Your best bet is using the advanced search engine of www.Zootierliste.de, I do not think anybody could give you a better overview, even though there will be some errors...
Walsrode has opened a Nocturnal House for the Kiwis.
The only breeding success was in Pairi Daiza some years ago and al Al Wabra did breed them too, sadly the cick died.
Thank you.
And the chick in Pairi Daiza grow up? Is it live nowadays?
Do you know how many shoebills are remaining in Europe?
Pairi Daiza has 2.3 Shoebills.Pairi Daiza also got the shoebills from Wuppertal so they now should have 5 or 6 shoebills there, with which they want to establish new possible breeding pairs.
2 chicks grew up in Pairi Daiza in 2008, they then moved to Zurich and they returned to Pairi Daiza again in 2015. Pairi Daiza also got the shoebills from Wuppertal so they now should have 5 or 6 shoebills there, with which they want to establish new possible breeding pairs... Walsrode also has 1.1 and Prague should have 2.2 and that's it for Europe.
Visited the park on the 8th of July together with some other zoo friends...
