My question is: Wich name is the correct english name for Kolmården or Kolmårdens Djurpark. Is it Kolmården, Kolmården Zoo or Kolmården Wildlife Park.
In the english description at
Start - Kolmården - känns i hela kroppen! they say Wildlife Park or just Kolmården. The signs just outside the zoo, says Wildlife Park.

Just a small note: Kolmården was during medevial time called Kolmarkr which means cole dark country or forest, and this forest separated the countries of old Sweden and Ostergotland.
The green marble from this territory is known as Kolmarden marble, and is, among oter places used in the opera house in Berlin and Paris, Coliseum Theatre in London and Rockefeller Center in New York.

This large forest was thick and full with Highwaymen, and considered a dangerous place to cross. Later, Kolmarden was defined as a much smaller place, indicated by roadsigns.
So, for at least thousand years or so, Kolmarden was the name of a forest country. Later, roadsigns indicated Kolmården as a much smaller area, which, in fact, didnt even include the area of the present Zoo, being located on the road to Kvarsebo.
1965 the Zoo was founded and was called Kolmårdens djurpark, probably since the Kolmården forest forest and the Kolmården marble was well known, and this was thought to advert the zoo better.
During the late years, the Zoo, for some reason advertise itself in english as only Kolmarden, and for some years as Kolmården Wildlife Park.
