What Topics/Species Would You Like to See Covered by a Wildlife-Focused Educational YouTube Channel?

As the title asks, what topics or species would you like to see covered by a wildlife-focused educational YouTube channel? This can also include what style or format of videos you like best and would like to see more of.

(This may not be the right place to ask this question, and if so, I apologize, but I figured a group of zoo/animal enthusiasts would surely have opinions on this matter.)

as a birder, I would generally like it to focus on native avifauna but also native mammals as well.
Thank you for you thoughts! I too am a big fan of educating about native fauna. After all, people can often relate to them or alternatively be more adverse to them than exotic species they don't regularly encounter.

I would like to see a long documentary about Africa that is not about the savanna. Preferably something like the rainforests or the Sahel, which seems pretty underrated. I love Madagascan documentaries and those seem to be pretty uncommon too. Wildlife docs by popular channels or broadcasters like BBC, Animal Planet, National Geographic etc., are for many people the only way to get conversed and educated about ecosystems. So creating the impression that Africa is one big grassland with only the Big 5 and probably cheetahs, and sometimes the occasional lemur, is not something I like.

That's a good idea. I don't know how feasible super-long, documentary style content is for me yet, but I'll see what I can do! Thanks.

I'd like to see a series that takes a dichotomy approach to wildlife.
The first half of the show showing a species/maybe area that is in need of help.
The second half showcasing a success story that shows it can be done.
The possibilities would be endless
Ooo, I really do like that idea. I'll definitely be adding that to my to-do notes. Thanks!

In fact, I was actually considering doing videos about endangered taxa, like lemurs, frogs, etc. They were going to be formatted as... 1) intro to species, 2) why they're endangered, 3) what's being done to save them, 4) why you should care, and 5) what you can do to help. I suppose adding a section like you suggested might be good.

I would like to see a channel dedicated to the history of zoological gardens. Each programme/series could be dedicated to a particular zoo, obviously depending on how much material is available. It would also showcase famous characters associated to the zoo.
I do quite like this idea! However, this isn't exactly what I'm aiming for with the overall goal of my channel. So, perhaps this could work for occasional videos, but this most likely won't become what my channel is dedicated to. Great idea nevertheless though!
