What zoo has the nicest lion exhibit in the world?

My personal favorite I've seen is Omaha.
I would second that! I was very impressed by Omaha’s exhibit when I was there in October (although I unfortunately didn’t see any Lions on exhibit). The viewing was fantastic, and the size of the enclosure is nothing to scoff at. The massive Kopje was also a nice touch. Although Lion Camp at SDZSP is a close second for me.

Wuppertal has a giant hillside, about a hectare of exhibit. And a good indoors viewing, which is designed to be one with the outdoors - you wander between rocks and imperceptibly switch from viewing lions outdoors and indoors.

Good are Beauval, viewable from below with a glass roof on which lions can stand; and Doue with weirdly deep moats, but great views of lions against the sky.

I liked also Basel, which exhibit looks like an actual South African bush, not like an European grass lawn. And lions seem always just behind the viewing glass.

A personal favourite is YWP’s, I like the way they’ve separated it into 3 enclosures and a lot of people don’t even notice.

Best Lion Exhibits around the world in my opinion are

  • Columbus Zoo,
  • Lincoln Park,
  • Akron
  • Fort Wayne Children's Zoo,
  • San Diego Zoo Safari park,
  • Omaha
  • Wuppertal
  • Taronga Sydney
  • Taronga Western Plains
