Since there was a post on your dream zoo simulator game, I thought it would be interesting to hear what you'd like to see in a wildlife simulator game. Think Saurian or Wolfquest, educational games where you play as an animal in a natural environment and play how they live in the wild, finding food and mates and avoiding predators, all that stuff. What are some species and environments you'd like to see in such a game?
Naturally, I want to play as an orca, lol. A game where you just play as orcas, from different populations in different environments, would be fine by me! But it would be also be cool to have a single marine environment game with different species options. Monterey Bay or the Pacific Northwest USA would be super cool. Or perhaps Alaska. I wonder what other species would work? Sea lions and sea otters would add a little diversity with their ability to go on land, and sea otters in particular could go into smaller spaces. Those giant sea bass would be cool too! I bet some kind of shark would be popular.
It would also be neat to see this kind of game in a small environment with smaller animals. Keeping with the marine theme, how cool would it be to have a coral reef one where you might play as clownfish, crabs, or sea turtles? I wonder what other small animal environments could work? Forest would be cool, though from a programming standpoint, harder to render.
