What's Your Favorite Ecosystem?

Just for funsies, what's your favorite ecosystem.

Mine would have to be the deciduous mixed broadleaf woodlands of the Russian Far East. This land is home to Amur tigers, Amur leopards, lynxes, brown bears, black bears, etc. A mix of animals people normally associate with warmer climates and animals normally associated with colder climates. It's the place that reminds me the most of the Pleistocene ecosystems that existed long ago.

My favorite ecosystem (habitat) is the rainforest (especially those of Southeast Asia) and the forests of North America, due to the many beautiful deciduous and pine forests and the many rocks, ponds, reeds and ferns that complete it. Rainforest because of the wet hot climate and the different levels of the forest, that along with the mud pools, large trees, foliage and hills and especially because of the many interesting animal species such as tapirs, elephants, rhino's, chimpanzees, gorillas, jaguars and more.

My favourite ecosystem is South American rainforest. It's the place with the greatest species diversity in the world and animals that live there are very different. There are also a huge number of plants, some like from another world.
My favourite ecosystem is also African savanna, because there are a lot of big animals (elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, rhinos, hippos and more). Unfortunately, both habitats are endangered and efforts must be made to save them.

Mine would have to be the deep ocean, 200 metres and deeper. So many odd and unique species we know almost nothing about, and certainly many many more species left to be discovered.

Pacific coral reefs, Antarctic oceans and temperate southern Australian oceans are also definitely up there.

Ok, that is a hard question to answer. So let me answer on my favorite ecoregion for each zoogeographic realm.

For the Palearctic, I am going to have to say Central Anatolian steppe or Caspian Hyrcanian mixed forests.

For the Indomalayan, I am going to say Indus Valley Desert or Hainan Island monsoon rain forests.

For the Afrotripical, I am going to say Socotra Island Xeric Shrublands or Jos Plateau forest-savanna mosaic.

For the Neotropical, I am going to say Cuban pine forests or Hispaniolan pine forests.

For the Nearctic, I am going to say either Texas Blackland Prairies or Tamaulipan Thornscrub.

For the Australasian, I am going to say either New Caledonia rain forests or Vanuatu rain forests.

Though I said it was a tough choice, if I had to choose overall, I am going to pick Caspian Hyrcanian mixed forests.
