Where to find Zoo2000 and similar old zoo documentaries?

Anybody knows of a site to find old zoo and wildlife documentaries, especially the series 'Zoo 2000' from the 1990s?

They are unlikely to be ever republished, and unlikely to make money, but are interesting from a hobbyist point of view.

Considering the UK licence payer effectively owns the BBC, they should be entitled access to all BBC series free of charge and not have to rely on DVD releases.
However "Auntie Beeb" as some people euphemistically refer to it, is a mean old biatch who doesn't share her treasures.
Many decent shows only ever got shown once or criminally were completely wiped from the archives.
You could always contact the BBC and ask for a copy but I doubt you would get far.

I recall even in times before, as the BBC found it rather impractical to consistently store a large number of programmes, a number of copies of various shows, most notably Doctor Who, were destroyed altogether.
I wonder whether that was the case with this show ...

Zoo 2000 was first screened on BBC2 weekly from the 1st of November until the 20th of December 198. It was repeated on BBC1 almost exactly a year later (and on regional channels at various times) The titles of the programmes were:
1. Captivation
2. New Menageries
3. The Techno Zoo
4. Watery Worlds
5. Better Bred than Dead....
6. Frozen Assets
7. The American Experience
8. Closer and Closer

Although these appear not to have been kept by, and certainly not available from, the BBC, many households in the UK had video recorders in the early 1980s so I am sure copies must exist stored away in homes around the UK.

That's the only one I've seen on the internet as well. Unfortunately it is the least interesting episode, because it has almost nothing to do with actual zoos. I remember when the series first aired, probably in 1985 in New Zealand, and after all the previous episodes showing zoos around the world this one really disappointed me. I mean, it's interesting enough in itself, but I'm watching the series to see zoos I want to visit, not to make me not want to go to African parks!
